• hey all
  i have just been reading a post on the power station stretch and thought i might just inform you of how well this stretch of water really does fish.
  
  i realise that someof the begs are a bit deadly at the best of times but please believe me when i say they are well worth trying, i fish down that way all the time and have had several barbel over 10lbs the best of which was 14lb 8oz and yes beforeyou aski have pictures and had a good friend and a fellow angler with me.
  
  other stretches you may want to try are coalport and swinny cliff just after the brewery stretch (peg 2 has never failed me yet)
  
  as for baiting then i have found nothing better than halibut pellet with a halibut based ground bait with maybe a little green betaine thrown in for good measure, use an open ended feeder and around a 10-12mm pellet on a hair rig with a size 10-12 hook.
  
  if you fail its cos thefish dont like you
